Frustration

The following is an actual conversation I had with a patient in the sleep lab. The original posting date was June 11, but I originally didn't want to put up too many blogs at one time... more surprises over a long time for you all (or y'all).

"Could try sleep on your side for a while" I whispered

"What?"

"Could try sleep on your side for a while" I whispered a little louder

"Stomach?"

"Side."

"Stomach?"

"Side."

"You want me to sleep on my stomach?"

"Side, could you try your side."

"Oh, side."

Sigh... stomach and side don't sound anything alike. However it apparently does to one wearing earplugs. Who would have thought one needs earplugs to tune out the silence in the lab?
